Statement of Faith - Public Safety Chaplain Corp

The Public Safety Chaplain Corp (PSC) is a faith-based organization grounded in the historic principles of the Christian faith. Our mission of chaplaincy service is rooted in compassion, spiritual care, and the belief that every person has inherent dignity and value.

While our work often takes place in diverse environments and among people of many beliefs, our spiritual foundation is based on the following convictions.

We believe in one God, the Creator of heaven and earth, who is sovereign, loving, and just.

2. Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. Through His life, teachings, death, and resurrection, He revealed God's love and provided redemption for humanity.

We believe that the Holy Spirit works in the hearts of people, guiding, strengthening, and bringing comfort in times of need.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and serves as the primary spiritual guide for faith and life.

We believe that every person is created with inherent dignity and worth, and deserves compassion, respect, and care.

We believe that serving others in times of crisis, suffering, and need reflects the compassion and ministry example of Jesus Christ.

We believe chaplaincy is a ministry of presence, compassion, and spiritual care. Chaplains serve people of all backgrounds with respect and without discrimination.

While PSC is rooted in the Christian faith, our chaplains serve individuals of all faiths or no faith with dignity, respect, and compassion.

The Public Safety Chaplain Corp seeks to reflect the love of God through responsible service, ethical conduct, and faithful presence in moments of crisis and need.
